I had not seen the commercial during the Super Bowl, so I had no idea what we were talking about at first. Upon watching the commercial, however, I realize why the ad has gotten so much attention. I find the ad to be empowering for little girls and their parent. Because women are still not treated completely equal with men, I find this commercial to be a stepping stone towards complete equality. It is true that the audience was limited to little girls and their parents, but even so, there were millions who watched the ad and were to think of equality between men and women, even if it was only for those 50 seconds.
